Brevis Law appoints Head of Immigration as part of ambitious expansion into new practice areas

Brevis Law is diversifying into new areas as it expands from its core focus on conveyancing, to also offering immigration and other legal specialisms. To mark this exciting new chapter, the firm has recently hired leading immigration lawyer, Mandie Sewa, as its new Head of Immigration.

Ms Sewa has practiced in the field of immigration, nationality, and human rights law for 20 years, and has worked in top 100 law firms, including two of the ‘Big Four’. Her experience ranges from working with individuals in their personal immigration matters, to advising companies about corporate issues such as the prevention of illegal working and sponsor licensing. She is often praised for finding practical solutions to complex legal problems and helping clients to implement them.

Ms Sewa has featured in a range of media including BBC News, Sky News, BBC radio and several specialist publications. She is an experienced leader having trained for the Immigration Law Practitioners Association, private colleges, universities, companies, the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner, and tailor-made in-house training courses. She has been a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Law and taught the immigration law component for the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. She was also nominated as a finalist in the 2nd Welsh Women’s Awards 2020 ‘Services to Law’ and has been recognised as a leading Lawyer in the field of Immigration law in the Legal 500.

In her spare time Ms Sewa enjoys participating in extreme sports, cycling, and swimming.

Each of the firm’s solicitors have a minimum of five years Post-Qualified Experience, specialising in immigration matters, flexible approach to providing immigration advice to businesses and private clients across the country.
